Displayed at the AITO booth, SERES Power showcased the 5th-generation SERES Super Extended-Range System and the 2.0T Super Extended-Range powertrain, demonstrating its continuous iteration capabilities in the field of extended-range technology.
As a pioneer and leader in extended-range technology, SERES Power secured a 37.5% market share of range extenders in China in 2025, ranking first in the domestic market. Over the past decade, the company has completed five rounds of core technological iterations, driving its strategic upgrade from traditional powertrain assemblies to intelligent energy power systems.
The 5th-generation SERES Super Extended-Range System features two core innovations. First, the SER-Wing C2E extended-range architecture optimizes NVH performance, energy consumption and lightweight design through in-depth integration. Second, the RoboREX intelligent extended-range control strategy upgrades the range extender from passive response to active intelligent management, enabling full-scenario intelligent energy scheduling. It delivers a peak thermal efficiency of 44.8%, compatibility with 400V/800V high-voltage platforms, an overall system power generation efficiency exceeding 93%, and a fuel-to-electricity conversion rate of 3.65 kWh per liter, meaning one liter of fuel can generate 3.65 kilowatt-hours of electricity. The concurrently unveiled 2.0T Super Extended-Range powertrain boasts four core advantages: intelligent power generation, ultra-quiet operation, ultimate efficiency and all-scenario reliability. Supported by the four-in-one collaborative control of "human-vehicle-road-cloud", it realizes seamless power consumption, power generation and discharging with drastically reduced perceptible intervention of the range extender. During driving, active vibration reduction, active noise suppression, and a high-power low-speed operation strategy, combined with active mounting, spoke-type TVD and dual balance shaft design, ensure the range extender operates with near-silent performance inside the cabin. It also achieves outstanding energy efficiency. Equipped with an 800V high-voltage SiC power generation system, it reaches a maximum power generation efficiency of 96.7% and a peak generating power of 120 kW, maximizing the utilization of every kilowatt-hour of electricity and every drop of fuel. In addition, it adopts power generation redundancy design, intelligent risk identification and quick fuel cut-off, as well as comprehensive all-scenario protection, delivering a highly reliable travel experience for users.
