Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the 2025 list of National Green Factories. Chongqing Jinkang Power New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Seres Power, was successfully included and officially accredited. This brings the total number of National Green Factories under Seres Power to two—the other being Chongqing Xiaokang Power Co., Ltd., which was awarded the title in 2023—establishing a multi-point support structure in the field of green manufacturing.
The National Green Factory is the highest-level honor within the MIIT's green manufacturing system. It involves a rigorous evaluation across multiple dimensions, including energy low-carbonization, resource efficiency, clean production, product greenization, and land intensification. Awarded companies represent the leading level of green manufacturing in their respective industries and are a significant testament to their sustainable development capabilities.
Anchoring "Dual Carbon" Goals and Defining a Green Development Path
In response to the advancement of global climate governance and China's "dual carbon" goals, Seres Group has established a roadmap of "peaking carbon emissions by 2030, achieving carbon neutrality in production operations by 2045, and reaching near-zero emissions across the entire value chain." It has also built a digital foundation for carbon management to enable full-process carbon footprint tracking. Currently, Seres Group has achieved an AAA rating in its MSCI ESG assessment.
As a core unit of the group's manufacturing system, Seres Power is committed to building "technological zero-carbon factories." It is systematically advancing the construction of its green manufacturing system by focusing on key areas such as optimizing the energy mix, improving energy efficiency, and promoting recycling.
Optimizing Energy Structure and Scaling Green Power Applications
In terms of energy structure, Seres Power has taken the lead in deploying photovoltaic (PV) power generation projects. It has built an energy and carbon management platform that integrates PV power, energy storage, digital energy management, and carbon management. Currently, a PV system with a total installed capacity of 35 MW has been fully connected to the grid, generating over 30 million kWh annually and reducing carbon emissions by more than 16,000 tons each year.
For low-carbon energy-saving upgrades, the company has completely phased out traditional diesel forklifts, achieving 100% electrification of on-site transportation equipment to eliminate exhaust and noise pollution from the source. By introducing AI-controlled optimization to link public support systems with production lines, it has achieved refined energy management and control, leading to a continuous reduction in carbon emission intensity per vehicle.
Implementing Circular Economy and Demonstrating Environmental Governance Results
In the areas of circular economy and environmental governance, 100% of packaging materials are now reusable. The comprehensive utilization rate of hazardous waste has steadily increased from 0% in 2022 to over 45% in 2025, while the compliance rate for exhaust gas and wastewater discharge remains at 100%. Through upgrades to environmental protection facilities and optimization of treatment processes, the efficiency of exhaust gas purification has increased by over 30%, demonstrating a continuous enhancement in pollutant control.
Thanks to its continuous efforts in green development, the company has been recognized as a municipal-level green factory and a national-level green factory, achieving a two-level leap in just two years. Furthermore, Seres Power has simultaneously received the "Organizational Carbon Neutrality Statement" (Zero Carbon Factory Certification) from the internationally recognized authority TÜV SÜD. Its greenhouse gas emission management complies with the ISO 14068 international standard, marking substantial progress in the construction of a "zero-carbon factory."
