Recently, the results of the "2025 World's Top 10 Powertrain Evaluation" hosted by the Automotive Evaluation Institute were officially announced. In the newly established "World's Top 10 Extended-Range Systems" category of this year's evaluation, the Seres Super Extended-Range System stood out with its outstanding comprehensive performance and technical strength, winning this authoritative recognition in the global extended-range technology field, and further consolidating Seres Power's industry status as a pioneer and leader in extended-range technology.
Authoritative Evaluation, Setting a New Global Benchmark for Extended-Range Technology
The "World's Top 10 Powertrain Evaluation" was launched in 2017. After nine years of development, it has become a universally recognized core benchmark for powertrain technology evaluation. To respond to the rapid development of extended-range technology and market demands, the 2025 evaluation added an independent "World's Top 10 Extended-Range Systems" category for the first time, filling the evaluation gap in this field in the global automotive industry.
This evaluation was led by Li Qingwen, President of the Automotive Evaluation Institute, and Professor Xu Xiangyang, Chairman of the Jury. The expert committee consists of many top scholars from Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beihang University, and chief scientists of national-level laboratories. The evaluation process lasted for half a year, through strict data review and real-vehicle testing, conducting multiple rounds of objective tests and subjective evaluations around four core dimensions: fuel-to-electricity conversion rate, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) control, power response speed, and intelligent energy recovery.
Winning this award not only represents the victory of product strength, but also means gaining the collective endorsement of the highest academic authority in China's automotive powertrain technology.
Outstanding Performance in Core Technical Indicators, Highly Recognized by the Jury
In the core technical indicators of the evaluation system, the Seres Super Extended-Range System showed obvious advantages. Its power generation efficiency is as high as 3.65kWh/L, which means 1 liter of fuel can generate more than 3.6 kWh of electricity, and the energy conversion efficiency is at the leading level in the industry. During the actual measurement, the evaluation experts specifically pointed out that the system still maintains stable power output in the power-depleted state, with excellent NVH control, achieving a quiet and imperceptible experience during operation, breaking users' traditional stereotypes of extended-range models.
The outstanding performance of the system stems from the support of its core technologies: the C2E Extended-Range Architecture adopts the All-in-ONE integrated design concept, combined with RoboREX intelligent extended-range control technology. Through intelligent active energy management, the range extender is transformed from passive operation to active operation. The collaboration between the two ultimately achieves excellent results of a 15% reduction in comprehensive fuel consumption, a 90% reduction in noise perception, and a maximum thermal efficiency of 44.8%, continuously leading the efficiency and experience boundaries of mass-produced extended-range technology.
Repeated Awards, Confirming Continuous Innovation Strength
Winning the first "World's Top 10 Extended-Range Systems" award is another milestone in Seres Power's long-term dedication to the field of extended-range technology. Previously, the Seres powertrain system has twice been listed on the "World's Top 10 Powertrains" list and twice won the China Heart "Top 10 Powertrains" title.
In the future, Seres Power will continue to deepen the iteration and innovation of extended-range technology, providing more efficient, comfortable, and intelligent travel experiences for global users.
